I became addicted to fiber craft when, at age 5, my maternal grandmother introduced me to knitting and embroidery. A few short years later, I received my first sewing lesson. In the late 70’s a friend introduced me to weaving. It quickly became a passion until my first experience with Kumihimo in Kyoto, Japan where I took classes at the Adachi School of Kumihimo in 1988.
I am on a continual quest for new techniques and ideas relating to my many fiber interests. I participate in the Pikes Peak Studio Tour and am a member of many Colorado Weaving Guilds, the Handweavers Guild of America and Complex Weavers. I am also a member of the English Braid Society and the Melbourne, Australia, Kumihimo Group. I give Kumihimo workshops and seminars and have participated in numerous juried exhibits throughout the US and abroad.
