The New American Leadership System™
Chapter Seventeen - Golden Nuggets
Hands-On Personal Applications and Case Studies
What a Great Life So Far
My life has been committed to learning the ways that real winners achieve the most successful outcomes. Then I have applied them with people and organizations in trouble and those wanting to improve. Usually the results were very successful.
The areas covered in the section describe my actual experiences as a manager, leader and coach. The purpose of all of this is to incent more people with the inclination to do good, right, helpful and better in everything they do. This section is a way to prosper, profit, progress and peacefully assure all around you of a way out of the violence, chaos and unhealthy conflict ... all so often considered as "the only way". It is not true. Moral, ethical conduct and skill is absorbable. I have learned and I have taught and personally trained over 45,000 people most of whom have assimilated some of the concepts and skills inside this book. Learning and inspiration have come to me from Marcus Aurelius, emperor of the Roman Empire on character, from Jesus in many ways, Red Auerbach, Victor Borge, General Holger N. Toftoy, Vince Lombardi, Peter Drucker, Jackie Robinson, Martin Luther King, David Rockefeller, Emily Hahn and many outstanding leaders in business, entertainment, banking, law-enforcement, and one outstanding hero of 9/11 at Ground Zero, Father Kevin Madigan. My wife, Carôn Caswell Lazar, has been a guide as historian and humanitarian. She has opened my eyes to art and culture of the world and has connected me to all of God’s creatures. She has inspired me to write all of this and she has added dramatically to my character growth. Some direct and indirect experiences with these people have helped shape my life’s work. I hope you will find value here.
These pieces have been published on the dates cited. They are not provided to prove 20-20-hindsight. Yet, they do show the stability and strength of most every section provided in this work on The New American Leadership System™. It has worked almost everywhere. Serious students and managers can now learn some sustainable principles forever grounded in love, character and common sense.
